Welcome to my high-maintenance world. Not the diva kind, but the pixel-perfect, detail-obsessed, standards-so-high-they-need-a-ladder kind. To me, high maintenance means having high expectations—for myself, my work, and the environments I create. Every detail matters: the images on the wall, the typography on the page, the colors in a brand, and the experiences people walk away with. Design has never been just about making something look good; it's about solving problems, telling stories, and helping people see the world differently.
My inspiration comes from blending clean digital design with tactile elements, such as, hand-drawn typography, layered textures, and mixed media to create work that feels both polished and personal. I earned my Bachelor of Fine Arts in Graphic Design from the Academy of Art University and have spent the past five years building a career that spans branding, digital media, print production, freelance design, custom picture framing, and client collaboration. Whether I'm creating a logo, designing a retirement shadow box, or helping a client visualize an idea, my favorite part has always been guiding people through the creative process. I enjoy breaking down design concepts, explaining the "why" behind creative decisions, and helping others build confidence in their own ideas.
That passion has led me toward my next chapter: Career and Technical Education. I'm pursuing the opportunity to become a CTE teacher because I believe students deserve to learn from someone who has worked in the creative industry and understands how design translates into real careers. I want my classroom to be a place where creativity is encouraged, mistakes become learning opportunities, and students leave with practical skills they can use in college, the workforce, or their own creative pursuits.
Whether I'm designing a brand, mentoring an aspiring creative, or introducing students to Adobe Creative Suite for the first time, my goal remains the same: to create meaningful work that inspires confidence, curiosity, and connection.
